Pewterspear Green Trust is a Charitable Trust and a Company limited by guarantee. The Company has a board of volunteer Directors representing a variety of organisations and interests in the area. Directors also serve as Trustees of the Trust.
Details of the Trust can be found on the Charities Commission website.
The Trust has a remit...
"To maintain and keep the land available for the use of members of the public subject to reasonable regulations imposed by the Trust and to manage the land in accordance with the principles of good estate management".
The Trust works closely with Homes England which owns areas of undeveloped land adjacent to the Trust's estate, to ensure that the whole environment is managed sensitively particularly at the boundaries between the Rust's estate, the housing developments and the undeveloped areas.
The Trusts' Board has appointed a General Manager to control the estates' activities through a Landscape Consultant and Sports Contractor.
Income to meet the cost of the estate is generated by a combination of Endowment income from investments and letting income from the use of the Sportsgrounds and the Pavilion.
