Hot  Weather Precautions at Pewterspear Green

During the current hot weather children & visitors to the parkland are advised to take extra precautions to avoid causing harm to themselves, and also to their pets if they are walking their dogs.

There are many shady and sheltered spots across the estate to enjoy the conditions and avoid over exposure to the sun, but it is important to remember the following parkland rules:

1.      No BBQ’sthese not allowed at any time on the parkland and especially at present where the dry ground conditions create a real risk of fire spreading out of control

2.      Keep out of the Ponds - all of the ponds on the site currently have lower than usual water levels but are still very deep.  Due to the build up of silt & organic debris they remain unsuitable for paddling or swimming.

Thank you.

7th April 2026 - Littering & Dog Fouling

The Trustees would welcome the support of visitors in helping to keep the parkland as a clean and safe environment by disposing of their litter and dog waste correctly. by using bins located on the Parkland  which are emptied by the Trust's contractors twice per week.

On occasions where a bin is full, visitors should not leave litter or dog waste on the floor by the bin, but either put it into another bin or take it home.

Leaving items by the side of a bin is anti-social behaviour and visitors are reminded that both littering and dog fouling are criminal offences.

Thank you.
